Personalized Learning - Democratic Elements

Democratic Elements

Pupils learn to summarise briefly in an evaluation report the main aspects of a presentation as well as the ensuing oral feedback of their fellow pupils. In class 5, pupils are still given supportive help by the class teacher, but they quickly become autonomous.

By chairing the meeting, which also includes welcoming the classmates, and by taking responsibility for the further procedures in the morning circle, pupils are able to practice methods used in other contexts (student board) among their familiar fellow pupils.

In perspective, class representatives of one year are to meet once a month on a Friday to discuss about the issues of the respective classes. This student body is to enrich the school student board and to involve the younger pupils in an active process of democratisation.
